Today we're cracking open the Champagne as we peel off the beta label and officially welcome production databases to our RavenDB hosting service. What’s more we’re also introducing support for the Raven 2.0 RTM.

We launched our public beta in August and since then we've had hundreds of people testing, evaluating and providing feedback to help us create what we believe is the best cloud hosted RavenDB service. While not much has outwardly changed over the last few weeks a lot of work has gone on behind the scenes to make sure that when you entrust your data to us, it's safe, secure and always there for you.

The plans

When talking to customers we've heard again and again that what they want is simplicity. With that in mind we're launching with just four paid plans.

For those who just want a simple, straightforward, RavenDB database, we have our Basic plan for just €9 per month. For that you get the most cost effective production ready RavenDB database you can buy today with 500MB of storage included. Extra storage is just €6 per GB per month and there's no upper limit on the size of your database.

If you need more oomph we have the Professional plan. This plan gives you better indexing performance, higher throughput and also comes with 1GB included, all for just €49 per month. The Professional plan also gives you the ability to schedule hourly exports to your own S3 account so that you'll always have access to your data.

Replication

If you want the higher level of availability that comes from having a replicated database you should look at our Basic and Professional Replicated plans starting at just €99 per month. Replicated databases are of course spread across different availability zones to ensure the best possible uptime for your database and also support hourly exports to S3.

As well as the paid plans we're also offering a free Starter plan which is perfect for those small side projects or for testing and development. The Starter plan comes with 20MB storage and can easily be upgraded should you outgrow it.

AppHarbor

As well as creating a database directly on our website you can also create one through our AppHarbor addon (*).
